Welcome to the official Suiye website.

Suiye is a historical single-player game set in the Tang-era Western Regions around AD 680, combining open-ended exploration, squad management, trade, combat and urban life simulation. Full creative development and prototyping began in March 2025. The game is currently being built with Unreal Engine 5.

The main setting spans the Tang-era Silk Road and the oasis regions of Central Asia. Suyab serves as an important starting point, with plans to depict cities and regions including Dunhuang, Kucha, Khotan, Kashgar, Karashahr, Gaochang and Yarkand.

You will lead a company through cities, oases, mountains, grasslands and deserts. Along the way, you can trade goods, take commissions, recruit companions, escort caravans, fight and explore ruins. In cities, you can run businesses, buy supplies, meet people and gradually become involved in unfolding local events.

Conquering every territory or unifying the world is not the ultimate goal. We want the journey to be about where you went, whom you met, what you took part in and what you brought back from distant lands.

Cities do more than provide quests and shops. Residents work, rest, commute, trade and socialize according to their roles, occupations and needs. Caravans carry goods between regions, while supplies, population, public order and faction relationships influence your actions. We aim for the characters you encounter to live continuously as members of the world, rather than appear only when a gameplay function requires them.

Combat centers on squad action and cooperation. Weapons, formations, terrain, mounts and commands shape how your company fights. You may encounter bandits and wild animals in the wilderness, or take part in escorts, pursuits, ambushes, urban clashes and larger military events.

Our historical work draws on sources about the Tang-era Western Regions, the Silk Road and Central Asia, covering cities, clothing, equipment, goods, religions, peoples, transport and social life. We aim neither to reduce history to decoration nor to create an encyclopedia that replaces historical research. Our goal is a credible, coherent world that connects historical evidence with a game you can participate in.

Suiye remains in development. Work continues on the world map, urban life, character behavior, squad combat, trade and the economy, quests and events, and historically informed art.
